The “Spiritual Autumn” event series will take place from October 16 to November 1 at the Harz monasteries to usher in the dark season and offer visitors the opportunity to pause and recharge through atmospheric moments and events. Set against the impressive backdrop of Walkenried Abbey, a diverse program awaits during “Spiritual Autumn”: candlelit tours, singing Taizé songs with the Walkenried parish, and much more. On the family tour “Little Monks for a Day,” guests of all ages go on a discovery tour through the medieval monastery. They’ll learn where the monks lived, prayed, and worked. A special highlight: Children can slip into monk’s robes and become little monks themselves! This “journey back in time” to the Middle Ages is the perfect outing for families with children ages 5 to 10. The minimum number of participants for the tour is 10 people.
